Design Intent
As cities grow, a new trend of living in small spaces has emerged. We wanted to create a fun and approachable piece of furniture that brightens up the living space and adds personality to the home.
Stamps distinct footprint is inspired by traditional rubber stamps, and it is meant to be moved around its home with the same effortlessness as a stamp leaves its marks on a sheet of paper. Remove its maple top, and Stamp doubles as storage. It loves to hold blankets, pillows, dog toys, or whatever else you want to store close but out of sight! Its lightweight, rich green body is crafted from recycled fishnets.
We liked the idea of giving the fishnets a second life, allowing them to "catch" and store items in their new home. The warm, natural wood and leather materials of the top balance the 3D-printed base, while the horizontal lines from the 3D print extend into the layers of the plywood, creating a cohesive and engaging appearance.
